Creating light and furniture - date of insertion 20/Gen/2005

What is the main goal when talking about lighting? We instinctively answer that we all desire to have at home a nice, warm, soft light, that does not harm eyes and brings out the environment. At home we make the most different activities, and each one has its own need in terms of light. Therefore lighting each room in a indirect and wide way, giving value to walls, corridors, corners is a steady a continuous research that takes us to changes all life long. Let’s dedicate a day to the observation of the lightening of our home and of the houses we usually attend. Without being experts, we will note that there is often something wrong: noisy lights, overhead lights that spread dark and cold flashes, that upset us and lights that are placed in an irrational way. If, as surveys confirm, the quality of light is able to positively influence the quality of life, to make us feel good or bad, being a main ingredient of our wellbeing, then, why do we random choose lamps? We do not want to judge others’ taste, but it is clear that each of us choose lights according to the personal taste and therefore, the house can be a miscellanea of technology in which lights are the state of the art of research and design, or, as more and more often happens, a mix of design and tradition, objects that tie up technology and craftwork. Our home has to be seen as the mirror of our aesthetic taste and lamps are more and more objects of furnishing and less and less objects to light. They are beautiful lightning shapes, real furnishing elements. Ceramic tradition of Veneto in this field has its roots in the time in which lamps where an opportunity to create a decorative object, a nice idea for the eyes. We can say that our companies, in the last decades, transformed the use of light in a decorative function, using all their imagination to bring out every corner of our homes.
